Come share your experiences and learn from others in a hands-on learning exchange focused on early warning, disaster preparedness, and climate adaptation, using the case of extreme flooding in Rimini, Italy. The Emilia-Romagna Flood and Storm Surge Simulation Training for Emergency Response was held in June 2024 as a part of the EU Horizon Europe DIRECTED Project The simulation practiced the use of new technologies including SaferPlaces, a flood intelligence tool and brought together the volunteers and the disaster management authorities to work together to improve emergency response in the future.
