Spatial Statistics 2017 – One World: One Health

The Spatial Statistics Conference 2017 takes place at the Lancaster University in Lancaster, UK. Dr. Ben Gräler participates, hosting a full day workshop on interpolating spatial and spatio-temporal data.

9:00 – 17:00: “Interpolation of spatial and spatio-temporal data”

The workshop focuses on interpolating spatial and spatio-temporal point data using different interpolation techniques. Starting with classical kriging, the extension into a spatio-temporal setting will be discussed. All approaches will be illustrated in hands on sessions based on the R package gstat. In a second block, copulas and their applications to spatial and spatio-temporal data will be presented. Practicals will be based on the R packages VineCopula and spcopula.
