The 18th International GI/ITG Conference on “Measurement, Modelling and Evaluation of Computing Systems” and “Dependability and Fault-Tolerance” (MMB & DFT 2016) takes place from April 4 – 6, 2016 in Münster, Germany. 52°North’s Dr. Christoph Stasch participates in the conference workshop “E-mobility and smart grids: challenges and opportunities“. He is invited to hold a talk about the enviroCar project in the MMB/DFT Plenary.
The workshop “E-mobility and smart grids: challenges and opportunities” discusses challenges and opportunities that arise from the embedding of e-mobility and smart grids in an inter- and trans-disciplinary setting. Participants will discuss regulations and concepts that are able to ensure a successful integration of charging infrastructure for e-mobility and smart grids. The workshop is especially concerned with the long-term effects of a large population of e-cars for the power grid. However, appropriate measures to increase user acceptance of e-cars and how known mobility patterns of users can help to reduce the impact on the grid will be discussed!
