Co-Designed Open-Source Solutions for CCA and DRM

Co-Designed Open-Source Solutions for CCA and DRM

EUROGI recently hosted the webinar “Co-designed Open Source Solutions for Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Management.”

Benedikt Gräler illustrated how two Horizon Europe projects — I-CISK Human Centred Climate Services and DIRECTED Project — are developing open-source, co-designed tools to help communities across Europe anticipate and respond to the impacts of climate change. From integrating local and scientific knowledge to creating actionable environmental intelligence, the discussion offered valuable insights into how geospatial data and open innovation are driving resilience.

AtrAI Bikes Workshop

AtrAI Bikes Workshop

Data-driven cycling city!

The workshop takes place on September 11, 2025 at the Intsitute for Geoinformatics, University of Münster, Münster.

How can mobility and environmental data help to improve our cycling infrastructure in a targeted manner? Join us at the Institute for Geoinformatics (University of Münster), where our partners re:edu and Instituto Cordial and we present and discuss results of our Atrai Bikes project!

🔍 Focus

📊 The Atrai Bikes project’s open-source data platform for collecting, visualizing, and analyzing traffic data.

🛣️ Data sources such as the senseBox:bike, which records temperature, particulate matter, passing distances, and road conditions (partly AI-based).

🚴 User testing and feedback: Interfaces, file formats, export options

💬 Discussion: How can we use this data for more sustainable, bicycle-friendly urban planning?

💡 Lightning Talks: Short presentations by project partners and participants on data-driven approaches to the transportation transition with a focus on bicycles.

👉 Get involved: If you would like to contribute, please indicate this when registering.
