The Galaxy Community Conference (GCC) takes place June 24 – 29, 2024 in Brno, Czech Republic. The annual conference focuses on the use and development of the Galaxy platform for data-intensive biomedical research. It brings together scientists, software developers, and trainers of Galaxy from a variety of disciplines to share their experiences, knowledge, and skills. 52°North’s Markus Konkol demonstrates how we use the Galaxy platform in the AquaINFRA and Open Science Persistent Demonstrator projects.
Single Track 10:10 – 12:00
The AquaINFRA platform: A research data infrastructure for marine and inland waters
Enablement track: workflows & administration 10:10 – 12:00
Integrating OGC API services into Galaxy
Members of the AquaINFRA consortium recently met in Copenhagen for a Joint Case Study Meeting. Focusing on the four 4 case study regions: The Mediterranean Sea, the Baltic Sea, the North Sea and Pan-European, they demonstrated real-world applications and worked on how to proceed and enable synergies. 52°North’s Markus Konkol presented the first version of the AquaINFRA Interaction Platform (AIP), followed by a guided exercise to enhance practical understanding and application.
The IMDIS 2024 takes place from May 27 – 29, 2024 in Bergen, Norway. It aims to provide an overview of existing information systems to serve different users in ocean science. It also demonstrates progress on the development of efficient infrastructures for managing large and diverse data sets, standards, interoperable information systems, services and tools for education. 52°North attends with presentations of our work in the MINKE Project as well as a poster on the AquaINFRA Project.
