Introduction to Web-based Geo-Processing (60 minutes): This tutorial presents state of the art concepts for Web-based Geoprocessing. This includes the OGC Web Processing Service standards, as well as relevant REST-APIs. An introduction to the 52°North Web-based Geoprocessing tools and best practice examples of applications relying on this technology completes the workshop.
Introduction to Sensor Web technology (60 minutes): This tutorial provides an introduction to relevant Sensor Web concepts, as well as underlying OGC Sensor Web Enablement standards (e.g. OGC Sensor Observation Service, ISO/OGC Observations and Measurements, OGC Sensor Model Language). Participants are also familiarized with the 52°North Sensor Web suite of implementations and the application of Sensor Web standards in the context of the European INSPIRE Directive. The workshop concludes with a presentation of several exemplary applications of Sensor Web technology
R Analysis/Shiny (60 minutes): This tutorial focuses on the link between the Sensor Web and R as a statistical analysis framework. A key property of data in the Sensor Web is its continuity, the analysis should no longer be solely be based on static approaches, but rather provide an interactive, up-to-date view on the data and related statistics. We will address a particular scenario and discuss possibilities to publish the analysis as an interactive Shiny application.
