Introducing developers to open source software development

This year, 185 Mentoring Orgs reviewed 23,559 proposals from 130 countries. in the end, Google Summer of Code (GSoC 2025) has accepted 1272 Contributors from 68 countries! 52°North is thrilled to be mentoring two contributors!

We welcome our new contributors, who will tackle migration aspects for KomMonitor and feature extension for our weather routing tool (WRT).

• Angular Migration of the KomMonitor Web Client (Contributor: Pranjal Goyal, Mentors: Sebastian Drost and Christoph Wagner)
• Weather Routing Tool (Contributor: Shreyas Ranganatha, Mentors: Martin Pontius and Katharina Demmich)

After a period of community bonding, in which the contributors get to know their mentors and the organization better, coding begins.
