52°North contributes to WEkEO (We knowledge Earth Observation)

As part of the Copernicus Programme’s 20th anniversary, EUMETSAT, ECMWF and Mercator Océan recently revealed the first version of the Copernicus Data & Information Access Service (DIAS) for environmental data. It is called WEkEO (short for “We knowledge Earth Observation”). 52°North and con terra, as part of a larger consortium led by CGI Germany, contributed to the development of the underlying service infrastructure. They provided expertise in the fields of Earth Observation metadata management, as well as harmonized and interoperable access to the data.
