Abstract: Sensor Web technology’s capability to enable the interoperable exchange of measurement data increases steadily. In addition to the plug-and-play connection of sensors, archives of measurement data can be accessed via Sensor Web interfaces. Dr. Jirka presents typcial use cases for Sensor Web components in various contexts. The examples cover hydrological applications, marine sensor systems and the delivery of air quality data to the European Environment Agency (EEA).
