FOSSGIS-Konferenz Göttingen 2026

This year’s FOSSGIS takes place in Göttingen from March 25 – 28, 2026. Users, developers, researchers and other interested parties come together to discuss application, work and further development possibilities as well as the latest developments in open source software for geoinformation systems and open data. The conference focuses on web mapping, geodata infrastructures, geodata management, geoprocessing, geodata analysis and modeling, desktop GIS and free geodata such as OpenStreetMap. It also covers topics such as digital sovereignty in connection with open source as well as open science and FAIR principles.

52°North’s Sebastian Drost will give a lightening talk about using pygeoapi to calculate the value of inditactors for social environment monitoring with KomMonitor. Project partners Artur Kim Shum and Felix Erdmann from re:dedu will present work done in our joint Atrai Bikes project.
