The 52°North shareholders assembly, chaired by Bob Driessnack (Esri Inc.), reached a unanimous decision to approve the annual financial statements and formally granted discharge to the company’s managing directors.
This endorsement from our shareholders serves as a significant seal of approval. Impressed by our accomplishments in 2025, the assembly expressed strong confidence in our strategic direction for 2026.
New Projects Launched: Digital Twins as a Tool for Climate-Resilient Urban Planning
Urban Digital Twins intend to integrate climate adaptation into urban planning faster, more precisely, and more effectively in the future. BMFTR launches a number of projects, in which science, municipalities, and companies develop new digital planning tools.
This year, 184 Mentoring Orgs reviewed 23,371 proposals from 131 countries. In the end, Google Summer of Code (GSoC 2026) has accepted 1,141 Contributors! 52°North is thrilled to be mentoring two contributors!
