52°North and re:edu invite you to participate in the hands-on workshop on October 30, 2024 from 17:00 – 20:00 CET.
The senseBox:bike is an open-source sensor technology that collects environmental and traffic-related data while traveling. With an innovative, AI-based approach, dangerous passing manoeuvres, road conditions, particulate matter and temperature are measured on the go. In the workshop, you assemble the technology, try it out and discuss how this data can contribute to improving the safety of cyclists and the cycling infrastructure. Join this citizen science campaign and we will lend you the senseBox:bike for a measurement campaign.
No prior knowledge is required! However, it makes sense if you ride your Leeze through Münster… Just bring a bike and you’re ready to go. 🚴♂️
Registration: https://tickets.reedu.de/sensebox-bike-24/
The event will be held in German.
The workshop is part of the Atrai Bikes project by re:edu, 52°North and the Instituto Cordial (Brazil), funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) for the transformation towards bicycle-friendly cities and is supported by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the FAPESP as a foundation for research funding in São Paulo. The city councils of Münster and São Paulo are our associated partners in the project.
