52°North awards the Student Innovation Prize to Simeon Wetzel for a successful implementation of his concept for geodata search and discovery in SDIs.
The latest edition of the 52°North Student Innovation Prize has rewarded the proposal and implementation of “LLM-based Assistants for Data Discovery in SDIs” by Simeon Wetzel, a PhD student at the TU Dresden. It presents an innovative approach to overcome existing challenges in geospatial metadata search architectures.
The OGC Disaster Pilot 2023 Demo Day webinar takes place on November 14, 2023. It will showcase working examples of how the Pilot improved the ability of key decision-makers and responders to discover, manage, access, qualify, share, and exploit location-based information in support of disaster preparedness, management, and response.
52°North’s Katharina Demmich will present our work on the development of a Drought Crop Impact Indicator Workflow in her presentation: “An indicator workflow for visualizing the impact of droughts on crop health and production”.
As the WaCoDiS project comes to an end, the project members invite you to attend the presentation of their results. The final presentation takes place virtually on January 19, 2021 from 9:00 – 11:30. 52°North’s Sebastian Drost demonstrates the automatic processing.
Current and reliable data are a prerequisite for sustainable and economic planning in the wake of digitalization. They are also a precursor for possible automation of processes.
The WaCoDiS research project addressed, among other things, the following topics
– development of algorithms for land coverage
– system architecture for automatic satellite data computing
– processing of satellite information.
