Several colleagues from 52°North traveled to our Dutch founding member, the ITC of the University of Twente to hold a joint symposium. We had not been to the ITC since it moved into a new building. To grasp the dimensions of the Langezijds building we have received a guided tour introducing the departments and labs. To prepare for the discussions on further joint activities and to identify commonalities and complementarities, 52°North and the ITC departments gave an overview into current projects and research topics. During the afternoon, topic specific break out tables have been formed to host lively discussions. Many ideas have been generated and concrete steps have been identified shaping our future collaboration. We thank the ITC team for the very warm welcome, their hospitality and the fruitful exchange of exciting ideas!

Task Forces for Living Labs
Second I-CISK General Assembly – efficient and productive
Approximately 30 consortium members met at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) in Madrid for two days of intensive discussions surrounding the I-CISK project. During a morning of updates from the different work packages and the 7 Living Labs (LLs), members also reflected on the main research and innovation directions. As part of WP5, 52°North and GECOsistema first announced the recent launch of the pre-operational I-CISK cloud platform, which provides access to the current mock-ups and prototypes of Climate Service for the LLs. After bringing everyone up to date, a discussion on the impact of I-CISK – what is the I-CISK legacy? – followed. The key question of the General Assembly was how to bring together all the requirements, data, models and visualizations. Lively discussions on this topic took place throughout the afternoon in various breakout groups.
