Geoprocessing and WPS standard expert Benjamin Proß presented 52°North’s ideas and development plans for Testbed work items at the recent Testbed 14 kickoff meeting.
OGC Testbed 14 participants met in Reston, Virginia for OGC’s 100th initiative to develop new standards and architectures, transforming how geospatial information is shared and used. 52°North is involved in two of the four threads:
52°North Student Innovation Prize 2018!
This year’s challenge focuses on Sensor Web Analytics. The 52°North Student Innovation Prize stimulates students to generate and implement innovative ideas and concepts for a specific topic in the GeoIT domain. It also acknowledges and rewards creative and innovative minds.
52°North invites students of Geoinformatics, Informatics or related fields to submit proposals exploring the analysis of sensor data in the Sensor Web. The top three applicants will then implement proofs of concepts and present their project results at the Geospatial Sensor Web Conference 2018.
The 52°North Student Innovation Prize 2018 is endowed with 3.500,- EUR.

52°North meets with partners for the European Data Portal II kickoff
The European Data Portal is a core component of the public sector data infrastructure that has been set up by the European Commission and Member States. It offers, for example, access to public data resources across Europe via a single point of contact – the portal itself.
