Prof. Dr. Andreas Wytzisk outlines central developments and presents practical examples from disaster management and environmental monitoring.

These include involvement of citizens as volunteers in disaster management; citizen participation in quality analysis of traffic flow in urban urban spaces; efficient processing of Copernicus data in the Amazon Cloud; integration, administration and processing of sensor data in spatial data infrastructures.
