Dr. Ben Gräler provides theory and hands-on training in R during his full-day workshop on Spatio-Temporal Modelling at the Spatial Statistics Conference 2017 in Lancaster.
Last week, 52°North’s Dr Ben Gräler gave a full day workshop at the Spatial Statistics Conference 2017 in Lancaster. During the 6 hours of theory and hands-on sessions in R, he taught participants how to deal with spatial and spatio-temporal data, as well as, how to fit spatio-temporal covariance models for spatio-temporal kriging. He also introduced them to the topic of copulas and the application of copulas to spatial and spatio-temporal data. The course material (slides and hands-on R scripts) is available online.
Many thanks to the participants for lively discussions and thanks to the conference organizers for providing the opportunity for this workshop and an interesting and enjoyable conference.
