Discover the stories behind the I-CISK Living Labs
We are proud to announce that the EU-funded I-CISK project* has released four new mini-documentary videos capturing the stories, innovations, and people behind its Living Labs in Hungary, Spain, South Africa, and Georgia, Spain.
The short films bring to life how scientists, local communities, and decision-makers have worked together to co-create the next generation of human-centred climate services – tools that make climate information more usable, actionable, and impactful. From drought monitoring in Lesotho, Southern Africa to sustainable agriculture in Georgia’s Kakheti region, from balancing water and ecosystem needs in Spain to enhancing local climate knowledge in Hungary, these videos highlight the diversity of challenges and solutions shaped within the I-CISK Living Labs.
By combining scientific data with local and traditional knowledge, the videos demonstrate that climate services are most effective when co-designed with the people who use them. They showcase real experiences of collaboration, learning, and innovation; thus illustrating how participatory approaches can strengthen resilience, empower local communities, and inform better decision-making for a changing climate.
