Time frame: 09.2010 to 12.2010 Website: n/a Description: Within this project 52°North conducted a feasibility study for the Service Centre Information Technology of the BMVBS (DLZ-IT BMVBS). The aim was to analyse the capabilities of the Sensor Observation Service (SOS) to serve near-real time tracking data. The result of the project was a specialised SOS version capable of delivering near-real time ship tracking data from the Automatic Identification System (AIS) for the Weser River in Germany.
