WPS with ArcGIS support - Demo Server

The Geoprocessing Community announces that a WPS demo instance with ArcGIS Server backend support is now available for testing. Please feel free to evaluate the available processes and report possible errors. The server is hosted at IfGI in Muenster.

The GetCapabilities URL is:
http://v-soknos.uni-muenster.de:8080/wps-ags/WebProcessingService?Request=GetCapabilities&Service=WPS&Version=1.0.0

Try out the example requests in the attachment with the testclient: http://v-soknos.uni-muenster.de:8080/wps-ags/test.html

The WPS currently offers a selection of Spatial Analyst processes. ArcGIS users should be familiar with the respective identifiers. As soon as time allows, the developer plan to complete the describe process documents for this toolbox.

For all non ArcGIS users - "Plus" and "LineDensity" are basic GIS functions. "Plus" simply adds two raster datasets by adding each of their and is quite self-explanatory. "LineDesity" is somewhat more complex and suitable to demonstrate a more sophisticated piece of ArcGIS functionality behind a WPS interface. Input is a line dataset (here: zipped shape; OSM data for saxony's roads) and the output is a density raster. For both requests, the example datasets are stored on one of the servers at the TU Dresden. Please feel free to try out your own data sets. Currently the parsers / generator are limited to HTTP/GET. Post support is in progress.
