"I would like to send a word of thanks to Martin Schouwenburg for all his efforts to keep this great software alive and continuously improve on it. Every month about 1000 copies are downloaded from ilwis.org and probably 2000 from 52north. Ilwis.org is most heavily visited by users from Brazil, India, Russia and Iran. The community of ILWIS users is continuously growing and we all owe Martin and the ITC for making this great product available to whomever wants to use it. So please Martin, feel encouraged that your work is appreciated by people from all corners of the earth. While continuously working in developing countries, I have learned how people struggle with English or don't know it at all. Therefore, language is a strongly limiting factor in the propagation of ILWIS and I am urging every ILWIS user who masters another language to translate just one page of the ilwis.org website, so that more people in developing countries con find it.
