The Geoinformatik 2013 takes place in Heidelberg from March 13 - 15, 2013. 52°North not only sponsors this event, but uses this platform to award the winners of this year's 52°North Student Innovation Prize competition. Stefan Sandmann from the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) will present the awards on March 14, 2013. In addition, Marcell Roth and Dustin Demuth participate with presentations. Marcell Roth, second Prize winner of the 52°North Student Innovation Prize 2011, presents current developments of his prize winning Geographic Feature Pipes. Dustin Demuth presents results based on successful developments arising from the "Google Summer of Code 2012" project "GIS Link to the Web of Things".
