Albert Remke, general manager of the 52°North R&D network and head of Innovation Management at the Esri Germany Group of companies, has been invited to join the advisory board of the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Research in Visual Computing (Fraunhofer IGD) in Darmstadt, Germany. The Fraunhofer IGD is the world’s leading institute for applied research in Visual Computing. Research fields include, among others, Computer Graphics, Computer Vision, Virtual and Augmented Reality. The institute contributes to the Visual Computing research and develops prototypes, as well as turn-key solutions for early adopters in industry and public sector.

The Fraunhofer IGD belongs to the German Fraunhofer Society for the Advancement of Applied Research, which is the largest R&D association in Europe. It employs more than 20,000 people, mainly scientists and engineers.
