RR2011, the fifth International Conference on Web Reasoning and Rule Systems, recently took place at the Digital Research Enterprise Institute (DERI) in Galway, Ireland. 52°North helped to sponsor this interesting event. While the conference is devoted to all aspects of Semantic Web Reasoning, it emphasizes rule-based approaches. In addition to theoretical contributions, it also welcomes practical works such as reports on tools & systems and rules and reasoning driven applications. Stream reasoning for the Semantic Sensor Web, as well as the integration of statistical methods and symbolic reasoning were of particular interest to the 52°North community.
