The 52°North Open Innovation Network is pleased to announce that the proceedings of the Geospatial Sensor Webs Conference 2016 are online. They are published as CEUR Workshop Proceedings GSW2016 Vol-1762.
Earth observation networks deliver a multitude of data capturing the state of the earth. The data sets delivered are of high value for scientists and other stakeholders from various domains and backgrounds. To facilitate access and integration of those data sets, Sensor Web technologies are becoming increasingly popular.
Observation data that can be handled in Sensor Web infrastructures cover a broad variety of types. These range from air quality measurements, hydrological data and weather observations, to data collected by sea buoys or even complex autonomous systems, such as sea gliders or satellites. The conference proceedings a number of approaches in which Sensor Web technologies have been implemented for accessing and integrating observation data.
